We've been speaking recently to tech transfer associates, who have many challenges. Let's take one example - we'll call this person "Sam". Sam is a tech transfer associate, who loves innovation but recently has been finding the work really tough. Sam has a large number of projects to license out and is under pressure to reach licensing agreements.
Sam has been knocking on so many company doors to reach out to companies who should be interested in the project, but these companies say a polite “no” at best and ignore Sam at worst. Sam doesn’t know what is going wrong - in each case, the project is great, and companies claim they need innovations. Why can’t Sam close a deal?
We've been speaking to many tech transfer associates like Sam. Post-pandemic, universities find themselves in a “broken world” in which the significance of their research is emphasized, but connecting to companies is even more difficult.
So how can universities operate in this “broken world”? Dr. D’vorah Graeser has put together a series of webinars and articles to help TTO’s successfully navigate the Broken World of university licensing. With a life science PhD and a programming background, Dr. D’vorah Graeser is no stranger to the academic arena while supporting universities, as well as startups and larger companies in 15+ industries over the course of her career.
Dr. Graeser’s FREE live webinar will take you on Sam’s journey navigating this challenging space, while examining technologies to help automate your processes and overcome these challenges. We hope to see you there!
